1. A rectangular patch of tin 10 inches by 15 inches must be carried in a box by cutting squares each 2.5 inches on one side of each corner. if the sides are then present to form the area, what is the volume in cubic inches of the box?
1. altitude will be 2.5. length and width are reduced eqch 5 (2.5 to each end)
5 * 10 * 2.5 = 125
2. V = LWH. A = LW. if V = Ah. h = V / A = 176/16 = 11
