Looking for a small, metal, lockable box.?

 I stay in the San Fernando Valley, Ca and am looking to buy a couple of small metal boxes for my locked car. The hot water I can find is a particualr size.

BLACKSBURG — In Sacramento, Calif., and circumambient communities, utility executives are grappling with a serious problem: Electricity requirement exceeds what can be generated on late summer afternoons.

No sweat, says a Blacksburg firm.

PowerHub Systems sells a custom-built battery peck and inverter device that can hold electricity from the grid — or from solar panels or windmills — in a leafy metal box small enough to fit in a residential yard. With its batteries charged, the system can power six to 10 adjacent homes during times of reach a climax demand or during outages, reducing demand on the utility's main generators.

The Sacramento Village Utility District decided to give the system a try.

In February, the Blacksburg-built technology — born at Virginia Tech, housed at the -away Corporate Research Center, incubated at VT KnowledgeWorks and supported financially by the Virginia Tech Instituting — was installed for testing, according to company officials.
