How do I line dresser drawers with fabric?

 I use a dresser to keep my huge collection of jewelry, and I want to line the drawers of a fabric. I have an idea for wrapping the fabric around the cardboard of some races, but wonder if I can stick the fabric directly in the tray.

 I used to do when I was younger. I would like to cut a cardboard template to fit the bottom of the table, cover it with palpable / stickers or transfers and then do the same with the side panels.
