Book Review: Folding Techniques for Designers, by Paul Jackson

Is this the reality in this origami is an art in 3D. Translate the instructions in 2D form is not trivial. Like Ikea instructions, origami diagrams are a language of their own. This book is the distillation of years of teaching it to students in design. For some benefits from use, I suggest you spend at least a few hours, playing with forms and techniques introduced here. As part of my re-examine, I asked my friend and designer jewelry leather Melissa Zook, someone with zero skill to print some origami models, make a few folds, and let yourself inspired by the regulations.

Part I: Why it's awesome

As soon as I saw this book cover, I was excited. Paul Jackson has been pushing the boundaries of origami for years. As a boy, I geeked to move much of its models-his horse from an equilateral triangle I was first shocked by his lack of purity (origami from a square!) But me impressive in its design . The box lid has taught me to separate them using a square-fifths my eyes and an algorithm. Both have pledged to pay tribute to a point in my life.While I liked his drawings of representation, I was amused and confused by his more artistic efforts who played with the regime and the shadow, but had no legs. More and more representative of origami was my main ambition and goal of most countries of origami. Then I grew up, and therefore does origami.
