 Ok I need serious help with my room. I tried several times to get rid of things and run it, but I've never been a success. I'm a Packrat by nature, and things continue to accumulate.

I'm sixteen years old. I have one bedroom flat without a closet.

Entering Bunkado's music fraction is like stepping into a time capsule. Its wood-paneled walls are lined with neatly jammed shelves filled with endless rows of factory-sealed cassettes, CD Maxi singles, never-opened 8-course cartridges. Misora Hibari, Kitajima Saburo, Kudo Shizuka - you may have never heard of those names, but they're titans of Japanese music, at least to a definite generation. You'll find entire discographies of their work here, gathering dust, waiting to be bought by a bloke base that may no longer exist.

"This shop was considered the largest Japanese record assemble outside of Japan," recalls Irene Tsukada-Simonian, the widespread owner of Bunkado, located on a historic stretch of Little Tokyo, owned and operated by her kith and kin since 1945. At its peak during the 1970s-90s, the demand for music was so high that they would take home monthly, sometimes bi-weekly, shipments of new releases directly from Japan. "Enka was always to the nth degree popular. Ton of J-Pop, stuff i've never even heard of. Traditonal music was very popular. Children's doyo music, society music. We had a very loyal clientele.

So when Apartment Group therapy's day after day e-mail alerted me to this incredibly handsome record cabinet from Atocha Lay out , I knew I had to blog about it! The assembly says the cabinets are made from sustainably harvested and like blazes renewable materials. The same cabinet can be configured with distinguishable drawers designed to endure d present 7-inch singles as well as LPs - or to hang on a last CDs and DVDs. OK, it costs a somewhat penny - like $12,500.
