Where can I find unassembled furniture in the San Diego area?

 I try to reach a sofa and loveseat, where you assemble yourself. I heard it's cheaper if you do it the way I'm looking to segregate myself a little money. Anyone know of a place in the region of San Diego?

 Ikea is a fair choice if you like the look modern and Scandinavian furniture store in Mira Mesa also very reasonably priced sofas to be short of any meeting.

Worcester Tech's pre-engineering program recognized

NEWARK -- In a classroom at Worcester Mechanical High School, students are working diligently in groups.

Some are perfecting a working rubber-body helicopter rotor. Others are dissecting the parts of an unassembled digital camera. Another is using official architectural software to render a single-story home.

These juniors and seniors are part of the pre-engineering program at Worcester Polytechnic High School, a curriculum that was among those of 13 high schools in the sticks to be recognized by the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association.

The ITEEA said its Program Merit Award is "one of the highest honors given to technology education classroom teachers."

Robert Dawson, a former atomic engineer-turned-instructor at Worcester Tech, said the program draws its nerve from students' intense enthusiasm and creativity.

"This is why the program is what it is; the kids are interested in this talents," he said. "You'll see what happens in a classroom that's not your standard (where students) sit in a chair for 90 minutes. They can put their hands on projects and positively discover things that they couldn't discover on their own. They're not being preached to -- they're investigating.
